Not a single person around!

Known as the Maldives of Thailand, Tachai has the most beautiful beach in all of Thailand. It is known to be one of the best diving and snorkelling sites in Thailand. The island is home to leopard sharks, nurse sharks and eagle rays. The Hawksbill turtle and whale sharks are also regular visitors of these waters. And last but not least the most famous inhabitant on the island, the peculiar chicken crabs. With white sandy beaches and crystal clear waters, it’s a destination you don’t want to miss! The only way to visit the island is on daily snorkel tours organized by local operators. Do keep in mind that the island might be closed due to the ecological damage caused by mass tourism. Can it get more private than this?

If you are looking for the ultimate experience, we’re talking a private island pretty much all for yourself; Koh Kradan is the answer. White sandy beaches and blue waters, it’s the most dreamy beach of them all. Rent a bungalow right on the beach staring directly into the ocean, or go five star and stay at The Sevenseas resort. Seeing it’s still a hidden gem, you should expect to eat local cuisine. It is also worth mentioning that Koh Kradan has one of the most stunning sunsets in Thailand. Relaxing on the beach, massages and snorkelling trips…Don’t miss out on this serene unspoiled island!

Tip: If you have extra time, you should also visit the other islands around Trang: Koh Libong and Koh Muk/Koh Mook.

Koh Lipe is located all the way south on the Thai/Malaysian border. Sandy beaches, turquoise waters and easy to reach coral reefs. Relaxing yoga retreats, perfect snorkeling scenery and endless choices to eat, shop and have massages. Lipe is not the easiest island to get to, but is sure worth the effort. Planning your accommodation in Lipe is fun, as there are numbers of places to choose from with 3 beaches around the island. The nightlife is vibrant and you can find many cool bars on Lipe!
